BRIDGES
The banks of the Neva are connected with 8 opening bridges.
DVORTSOVIY MOST. Connects Dvortsovaya Ploschhad’ with Birzhevaya along the axis of Dvortsoviy proesd. It was built in 1916. In 1939 the wooden railings were replaced by cast-ironed ones. The bridge is 260 m long and 27.7 m wide.
TROITSKIY MOST. Connects Suvorovskaya Ploshchad’ with Kamennoostrovskiy prospekt. It was built in 1903. The bridge is 582 m long and 23.6 m wide.
MOST LEITENANTA SHMIDTA (BLAGOVESCHENSKIY, NIKOLAEVSKIY). Connects Ploshchad’ Truda with Vasilievskiy Ostrov. It was built in 1850, and is the first permanent bridge over the Neva. The bridge is 331 m long and 24 m wide.
LITEINIY MOST (ALEXANDRA II). Connects Liteiniy prospekt with Akademika Lebedeva ulitsa. It was built in 1879. The bridge is 394.3 m long and 34 m wide.
BOLSHEOKHOTINSKIY MOST (IMPERATORA PETRA VELIKOGO) Connects Tulskaya and Yakornaya ulitsa. It was built in 1911. The bridge is 334 m long and 23 m wide.
MOST ALEXANDRA NEVSKOGO. Connects Ploshchad’ Alexandra Nevskogo with Zanevskiy prospekt. It was built in 1965. The bridge is 905 m long and 35 m wide.
FINLYANDSKIY ZHELESNODOROZHNIY MOST. It was built in 1912. Its total length amounts to 1,130 m.
VOLODARSKIY MOST. Connects Ivanovskaya and Narodnaya ulitsa. It was built in 1936. The bridge is 782 m long and 36 m wide.
